dragons_breath_marinaomiDragons's Breath by MariNaomi

Vignettes from the author of Kiss & Tell: A Romantic Resume.

MariNaomi explores a spectrum of topics from youthful rebellion, to mortality, disillusionment and compassion, yet it’s the empathy apparent in her observations that give them their sting. These aren’t stories as much as they are acts of conversation - with the reader, the subject and herself. They have the courage to scratch surfaces that inevitably hurt, yet still sing with excitement to be alive, to interact. Dragon’s Breath is another impressive title from MariNaomi. It’s the story of a well-lived artist who isn’t through with living.

MariNaomi has been making comics since 1997. Her work has appeared in anthologies such as I Saw You: Comics Inspired by Real-Life Missed Connections and the Eisner-nominated No Straights Lines, as well as her award-winning graphic memoir, Kiss & Tell: A Romantic Resume, Ages 0 to 22. Her work on the Rumpus won a SPACE award as well as honorable mention in Houghton Mifflin's Best American Comics 2013.

Co-published with 2DCloud.
